Marathon Update Release August 31, 2023

Highlights

Managed Workflow for Reports

  • Reports generated in Marathon now optionally support customizable managed Workflows allowing users to follow standard procedures within an organization when taking actions on Reports generated.
  • Reports with Workflows will include a new tab in the right panel, Resolve, which users can access to progress that Report’s Workflow.
  • Reports with Workflows can send email notifications to groups of Users on their creation.
  • Supported Workflow Steps include:
    • Assigning a User in an organization to a Report.
    • Recording informational text relevant to the Step.
    • Recording the date at which some action associated with the Step occurred.
    • Uploading and attaching external documents.
  • The outcome of a Workflow Step will be recorded in the Report’s comment history which is visible in the Activity tab of the Report.
  • Reports with any files uploaded will have a new tab on the Report’s main page, Uploaded Files, where Users can access and download those files.
  • Users are able to filter for Reports with Workflows in the Report List from those without using the additional Workflow checkbox on the Report filters.
  • Reports with a Workflow will show a status depending on whether the Workflow is Pending, In Progress or Resolved.
  • Reports without Workflows no longer have a status associated with them and therefore no longer have a dismiss button.

Known Issues

  • Entering a custom time when choosing the display window on any time series can update before the user has finished entering their full selection.
  • Custom user events still have highlight mode enabled on the time series at the confirmation step when it should be disabled at this stage of the process.
  • On application load or browser refresh, Events can sometimes take at least one minute to become visible in the application.
  • Generating a comparison from Asset search or drag and drop will produce a data loading error if that action causes the application to attempt to render approximately 130 or more time-series charts simultaneously.
  • Dismissing any search text on the left hand asset panel will cause an application error.
